My name is Lindsay , I am a wife and mom of three. I am also a childbirth educator and labor doula. After my first birth ended in an emergency cesarean I was devistated. Before becoming pregnant with my second child I began preparing for a VBAC (vagnial birth after cesarean.) After months of praying, reading, researching and interviewing doctors and doulas I had my VBAC. It was the most incredible and transformative experience of my life. The birth of my third child in March of 09 was also a successful VBAC. The births of my children helped me realize my calling of becoming a labor doula and given me priceless experiences that enable me to help other mothers.
I believe every woman has a right to true informed consent concerning her care during pregnancy, labor and birth. I believe women are perfectly designed to carry and birth their babies and, given the right support and care. every woman can. Pregnancy and birth are the most incredible times in a woman's life and a positive experience is empowering. My goal is to help woman during this exciting and important time in their lives and to ensure they have the resources available to make informed decisions about their care.
